Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Special Care Nursery

$56.76 - $58.67 per hour + salary packaging

 

About the Role

Join our dedicated Special Care Nursery team at Grampians Health Ballarat as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and driven leader to support and enhance neonatal care services. You will work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality, patient-centred care while developing your leadership skills in a supportive environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring the delivery of best-practice neonatal care
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, fostering a positive team environment
  • Assist with clinical coordination and resource management across shifts
  • Support patient flow and ensure compliance with key performance indicators
  • Contribute to quality, safety, and risk management programs
  • Act as a delegate for the Nurse Unit Manager as required

 

Skills & Experience

  • Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA registration and current practicing certificate
  • Experience in a neonatal or paediatric setting preferred
  • Leadership skills with a strong understanding of ANUM responsibilities
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Nurse Unit Manager (YW11 – YW12) which ranges from $56.76 - $58.67 per hour
