About the Role

We are seeking applications from Administration Assistants to join our casual bank.  Administration Assistants are required to work onsite and will cover staffing deficits across a variety of areas at Grampians Health Ballarat.  

 

The role will require you to perform a wide range of administrative support tasks to assist and ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the clinical unit / program.  

 

Casual Bank staff will need to be available for at least 3 days a week when cover is required from Monday – Friday. 

 

Casual Bank allows you to have an opportunity to work across a variety of locations at the Ballarat campus around your nominated availability.  Shifts can be offered within short time frames, therefore to be considered for this role you must be living in the Ballarat region.

 

You will be required to provide 2 referees, one being your current direct manager and the second another manager / supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a high standard of administrative support
  • Accurate data entry into required software systems
  • Maintaining accurate availability in our electronic rostering system and accepting shifts based on availability
  • Flexibility to work across a variety of locations and shift times
  • Participate in annual performance reviews
  • Commitment to ongoing mandatory education

 

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated high level communication to be able to interact with a wide variety of individuals 
  • High level computer skills are essential for this role with particular emphasis on accurate data entry
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain a strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to function within a team
  • Demonstrated person-centred care and respectful approach to patients, visitors and staff
  • Prior experience in a health setting would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
