About the Role
Grampians Health Ballarat is seeking a highly motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD). This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and driven Registered Nurse to join our management team in a critical area of healthcare, ensuring the highest standards of sterilising services and infection control.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation of all RMD’s in compliance with AS5369:2023.
- Provide technical knowledge and understanding of sterilisation equipment and techniques to support the CSSD team.
- Provide support and leadership in the CSSD team, including rostoring, staff training, quality improvement initiatives and audits.
- Assist in the coordination of maintenance and servicing of sterilisation equipment.
Skills & Experience
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Previous experience in a CSSD or Perioperative Nursing.
- Strong knowledge of sterilisation processes and Australian Standards AS5369:2023.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills within a team environment.
- Previous leadership experience is highly desirable.

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Nurse Unit Manager (YW11 – YW12) which ranges from $56.76 - $58.67 per hour.
