About the role
Grampians Health is seeking a Clinical Coder to join our supportive and forward-thinking team. We have both permanent part-time (22 hours per week) and casual positions available. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately coding inpatient episodes while meeting coding volume and accuracy standards.
Working with a digital medical record system, you’ll be supported by a strong Coding Leadership Team and have opportunities for continued professional development. We foster innovation in coding practices and offer flexible work arrangements.
Skills & Experience
-
Qualification as a Health Information Manager or Clinical Coder
-
Minimum 12 months’ recent clinical coding experience using ICD-10-AM 12th edition

Strong knowledge of activity-based funding and Australian Coding Standards

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-
Proficiency in MS Office applications

Experience working with digital medical record systems
Key Responsibilities

Code inpatient episodes in accordance with Australian Coding Standards

Maintain coding accuracy and throughput in line with experience

Contribute to coding audits, quality initiatives, and education activities
