Clinical Pharmacist - Registrar Training Nephrology

$47.81 to $54.10 per hour plus access to salary packaging | Clinical Pharmacist - AdPha Registrar Training: Nephrology 

Full Time Fixed Term (80 hours per fortnight including monthly ADO) 2 year program – with permanent hours in our clinical pharmacist Grade 2 rotational pool at conclusion of training period.

 

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Pharmacy Department at Grampians Health Ballarat as a Grade 2 Clinical Pharmacist (Nephrology Registrar). In this role, you will provide high quality clinical pharmacy services within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary environment, with a speciality focus on renal medicine including site based and at home dialysis services and the delivery of pharmacist led ambulatory clinic services.

 

You will participate in the Advanced Pharmacy (AdPha) Registrar Training Program over two years (FTE), with access to strong leadership, supervision, and ongoing professional development. Upon successful completion of the registrar training program, you will retain a permanent Grade 2 clinical pharmacist position at Grampians Health. This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to pharmacy services leadership, education, research, and service development within one of Victoria’s largest regional health services.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to renal and dialysis unit patients

• Contribute to timely patient care across all transitions

• Support education and mentorship of interns and junior pharmacists

• Act as a reference point for clinical advice in training area

• Participate in quality improvement and/or research activities

• Maintain high clinical documentation and communication standards

 

Skills & Experience

• Registered pharmacist with AHPRA

• Bachelor or Master of Pharmacy (or equivalent)

• Postgraduate qualification relevant to hospital pharmacy (desirable)

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Experience in delivery of hospital pharmacy services (desirable)
