About the Role
The Clinical Support Nurse plays a vital role in mentoring, supporting, and training newly appointed and existing staff within the Cardiovascular Unit. This role is ideal for a self-motivated and passionate educator with a commitment to clinical excellence and evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Support staff in developing high-quality clinical skills in cardiovascular nursing
- Work with staff and leadership to identify and enhance clinical competencies
- Develop and implement an annual learning program tailored to department needs
- Provide clinical leadership to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement
- Work independently and collaboratively to ensure safe and effective patient care
Skills & Experience
- Registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Division 1
- Postgraduate Certificate in Cardiac or Interventional Radiology Nursing
- Completed or working towards Cert IV in Workplace Training & Assessment
- Experience in Cardiac or Interventional Radiology as a circulating and scrub nurse, including on-call experience
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and MS Teams
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
