Are you a passionate educator and experienced clinician ready to guide the next generation of psychiatry professionals? We are seeking a Psychotherapy Written Case (PWC) Supervisor & Coordinator to support and mentor Junior Doctors in Training (JMTs) within GMHWS.
This vital role ensures the continued success of our RANZCP-accredited Psychiatry Training Program by providing expert supervision, fostering a supportive learning environment, and overseeing psychotherapy education initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Support and Supervise: Provide educational guidance and psychotherapy supervision to Junior Medical Officers (JMOs), including CBFP and SIMG Psychiatry Registrars.
- Coordinate Education Programs: Develop and manage the Grampians Health Psychotherapy Education Roster, collaborating with internal and external health service coordinators.
- Promote Career Growth: Assist in the professional development and welfare of Junior Medical Staff, supporting their career progression within psychiatry.
- Collaborate with Senior Leaders: Liaise with Senior Medical Staff on academic support needs and relevant JMO-related issues.
What You Bring
- Qualifications & Accreditation: Registered medical practitioner with Fellowship of the RANZCP (or equivalent) and accredited as a Psychotherapy Supervisor (as accepted by RANZCP VPTC).
- Educational Expertise: Experience delivering and evaluating psychotherapy education programs tailored to psychiatry trainees.
- Collaborative Approach: Proven ability to provide academic leadership and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team of educators.
- Commitment to Excellence: Passion for supporting trainee development while maintaining high standards of education and supervision.
