About the Role

Grampians Health is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Employee Relations Leader to shape and lead our employee relations function. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will provide expert leadership in employee and industrial relations, ensuring compliance, resolving complex matters, and fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.

 

We offer flexible work arrangements and welcome applications from consultant-level professionals with deep expertise in employee and industrial relations. While this is a full-time position, we are open to part-time or hybrid options for highly experienced candidates.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and manage the employee relations function across the organisation
  • Provide high-level consultancy to senior leaders and HR teams on employee and industrial relations.
  • Proactively resolve complex employee relations issues and mitigate risks.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture through strong leadership and effective change management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within employee relations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with unions, industry bodies, and key stakeholders.
  • Advocate for the organisation in disciplinary matters at relevant tribunals and commissions.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Tertiary and postgraduate qualifications in employment law, industrial relations, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in senior-level employee and industrial relations roles.
  • Proven ability to advise and influence at an executive level.
  • Strong track record of building positive, mutually beneficial relationships with industry associations and unions.
  • Expertise in Fair Work Commission processes and other relevant employment jurisdictions.
  • A values-driven leader who fosters collaboration and drives organisational success.
