Finance Systems Support Officer

About the role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Systems Administrator to join Grampians Health. Reporting to the Manager – Finance Systems, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our financial systems to ensure efficient and accurate financial data management.

 

In this role, you will provide front-line technical support, assist with system administration, and contribute to continuous system improvements. Your expertise will help streamline financial processes and enhance system functionality across Grampians Health.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in the Administration of finance systems, including Epicor, Precise ARM, and Magiq, ensuring accurate maintenance of the chart of accounts, organisational hierarchy, approval limits, and user access.
  • Support the management and coordination of the Finance Systems Help Desk, ensuring incidents and problems are tracked and resolved.
  • Investigate system errors and discrepancies, working closely with internal teams and vendors to identify and implement solutions.
  • Assist with Identifying opportunities for system enhancements, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement improvements.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial reports, dashboards, and analytics to support decision-making and financial analysis.
  • Maintain strong relationships with software providers to ensure system performance and support.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, information systems, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and internal controls.
  • Experience with ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor), financial reporting tools, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Magiq).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve system issues effectively.
  • Experience in developing financial policies, procedures, and process improvements.
  • Strong commitment to staff training and development in financial systems.
