Experienced Instrument Technician

We’re seeking skilled CSSD Technicians who thrive in a fast-paced environment and values precision, safety, and teamwork.
As a CSSD technician, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness, sterilisation, and availability of surgical instruments and medical equipment. You’ll work closely with theatre staff and other departments to maintain seamless operations and uphold strict compliance with infection control protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation of reusable medical devices in accordance with AS 5369:2023.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery of reusable medical devices (RMDs).
- Demonstrate high level communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to be involved with change management processes and be supportive with the implementation as directed by the NUM or delegate
- Demonstrated basic computer skills.
- Demonstrates a commitment to improving knowledge by being willing to participate in relevant courses and/or education sessions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation Services (or equivalent) with greater than twelve (12) months post qualification experience.
- Strong understanding of infection control policies and Australian Sterilisation Standards AS 5369:2023.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated flexibility in work locations to include our offsite dental clinic CSSD.
- Ability to work a rotating roster including morning and afternoon shifts.
- Regular weekend availability, including morning and afternoon shifts
