About the Role
Lead the strategic coordination of Grampians Health’s medical workforce across junior and senior levels. This pivotal role ensures effective recruitment, rostering, contract management, and workforce planning. You’ll work closely with Clinical Directors, Educators and Talent Acquisition to deliver high-quality, consistent workforce services.
✅ Drive strategic oversight of medical workforce operations
✅ Lead and support a high-performing Medical Workforce Unit
✅ Collaborate across departments to ensure consistency in entitlements and compliance
✅ Provide accurate workforce data to inform planning and decision-making
✅ Manage recruitment, rostering, and credentialing processes
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee recruitment and employment of medical staff
- Coordinate daily and on-call rosters for junior doctors
- Ensure compliance with AHPRA, PMCV, and immigration requirements
- Lead financial reporting and budget management for medical staffing
- Support orientation and workforce development initiatives
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in clinical or management discipline (preferred)
- Proven leadership in complex healthcare settings
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in workforce planning and change management
- Knowledge of industrial instruments and accreditation standards
