Business Administration Trainee
Fixed term full-time (80 hours per fortnight including monthly ADO)
Based at either the Ballarat or Horsham campus
About the role
Grampians Health has an exciting Business Administration Traineeship opportunity in the People & Culture department for those looking to start or restart their career!
The program will commence in mid-late January 2026 for a 12-month, fixed-term period with the successful applicant being enrolled in Cert III Business Administration upon commencement.
As a trainee you will work five days per week with dedicated study time and you will receive on-the-job training to put your study into practice along with gaining hands-on experience working in People & Culture!

Key Responsibilities:
- Process and monitor pre-employment background checks, including Police Checks, Working with Children checks and NDIS clearances.
- Process contracts, variations for new and existing employees.
- Monitor the P&C phone system and email, promptly responding to all incoming calls and emails and directing messages as needed.
- Enter and update daily HR competencies, such as induction checklists and PDRs accurately in the relevant database.
- Collect mail and perform other administrative tasks and projects as required.
Requirements/Eligibility
- Must meet criteria for eligibility in the Traineeship Certificate III Business Administration
- Must meet the Australian Governments Apprenticeship criteria
- Successful completion of the Language, Literacy and Numeracy requirements
