Permanent Part Time Opportunity 40 hours a fortnight | Applicants are welcome to apply for multiple positions and/or fractional hours, with the potential for job-sharing opportunities considered.
About the role:
As a Grade 2 Physiotherapist, you will provide clinical physiotherapy services to the pulmonary rehabilitation program, delivering exercise group supervision, educational sessions, and individual interventions, while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team and supporting senior staff in team building, mentoring, and education within the Allied Health department.
Hours/rostering as below;
- Full day on Mondays
- Half day on Wednesday afternoons
- The remaining hours can be flexible across the remainder of the week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for clients with pulmonary conditions, ensuring effective treatment and advocacy for clients and families.
- Collaborate with staff and community agencies to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care, facilitating patient progress through the healthcare system.
- Maintain high clinical standards by participating in performance reviews, professional development programs, quality improvement activities, and research to enhance practice.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication with staff, clients, and external organisations, while maintaining accurate clinical records and meeting organisational documentation standards.
- Engage in multidisciplinary teamwork, contributing to service development, workforce management, and strategic planning to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
Skills & Experience
- Eligibility for registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and sound knowledge in managing pulmonary conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor, and collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team, while adapting to a dynamic work environment.
- Commitment to ongoing learning, quality improvement activities, and reflective practice to enhance professional development.
- Proven capacity to apply evidence-based practices in client care and make informed decisions in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives and positively influence change within the team and organisation.
