$29.57 per hour + salary packaging | Program Assistant - Central Intake 
Fixed Term opportunity at Full Time (40 hours per week with ADO) or Part Time applicants welcome (minimum 24 hours)

About the Role

Grampians Health Ballarat is looking for a detail oriented Program Assistant to join the Central Intake team. You’ll play a key role in managing referrals, ensuring clients access the care they need promptly. This is a fixed-term position until August 2025, with flexible work hours. The role is suited for those with strong data entry skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service. This role is Monday – Friday (no weekend work). 

 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming referrals and direct them to the appropriate teams
• Handle phone and email inquiries efficiently
• Enter referral information accurately into the patient administration database
• Assist with the coordination of patient care requests
• Ensure timely and accurate data entry of all relevant information
• Support the team in maintaining the smooth operation of the intake process

 

Skills & Experience

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Efficient and accurate data entry skills
• Experience in administration or customer service (healthcare preferred)
• Ability to handle competing demands with attention to detail
