Quality Improvement Support
Ballarat Central, VIC, AU, 3350
About the program
The Safer Together Program is a statewide safety improvement initiative. The Safer Together Program will take a systems approach to target key priority areas focused on creating a safer and more sustainable healthcare system for all Victorians. Sitting within the Grampians Local Health Service Network (GLHSN), the Safer Together Program (STP) will be the key conduit between SCV and Victorian health services, supporting the successful implementation of the STP connected delivery model.
About the role
Improvement support roles provide additional capacity at the network level to support the delivery of STP priority projects and activities. These roles are intended to offer targeted assistance across health services within the network. They are particularly valuable where improvement capability or capacity is limited. These roles are designed to work across multiple services to promote more equitable access to improvement expertise. They operate in partnership with SCV but remain regionally governed and delivered.
A shared understanding and clear delineation of responsibilities between SCV and LHSN teams is essential for effective collaboration. The role will:
-
- Strengthen Quality Improvement (QI) capability across the network by delivering or coordinating training, promoting use of SCV-developed resources and tools, and providing foundational education to health service teams, including those not currently participating in STP priority projects
- Support health services in participating effectively in STP priority projects and promote shared learning across the network by providing localised project support, addressing participation barriers, and disseminating lessons learned to build readiness and engagement for future project tranches
- Support and accelerate improvement efforts of health service teams enrolled and participating in the STP priority projects
- Lead the design and delivery of local improvement project aligned to STP priority project, in consultation with SCV team, to meet local health service context
- Support the design and delivery of locally developed QI projects that complement STP priority projects
- Strengthen local QI capability by offering flexible, consulting support, as per SCV funding guidelines.
