About the role
Grampians Health is providing an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, passionate, and motivated Nursing & Midwifery students to enhance their learning and on the job experience as a RUSON/RUSOM This program offers paid employment across acute and subacute clinical areas.
The RUSON/RUSOM workforce supports the existing nursing & midwifery workforce in the delivery of safe, effective, connected person-centred care, under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM). This program offers a unique opportunity to enhance your clinical exposure and experience within the Grampians healthcare team at all of our campuses, including Horsham, Stawell, Ballarat, Edenhope and Dimboola. RUSOMs work in Ballarat or Horsham only.

What are we looking for?
- Must have successfully completed 1st year of Bachelor of Nursing or Midwifery (or will by end of 2025)
- Satisfactory academic progress
- Registered as a student nurse with AHPRA with no conditions or undertakings
- Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skill
- A desire to contribute to quality nursing and midwifery care
- Ability to work shift work over a 7-day roster around academic and clinical placement requirements
