About the Role

Be part of Ballarat’s largest infrastructure project – the $655 million Ballarat Base Hospital Redevelopment. As the Redevelopment Support Officer, you’ll support the Project Director to ensure the successful delivery of the new hospital tower and related infrastructure, due for completion in 2027. This role is key to maintaining smooth project operations, including governance reporting, financial tracking, procurement, and stakeholder coordination.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support governance reporting and project tracking activities
  • Manage financial administration including requisitions, contracts, and progress claims
  • Coordinate procurement and delivery of equipment
  • Project manage minor works packages
  • Assist with defects, commissioning, and documentation processes
  • Maintain accurate records and project filing systems
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative systems
  • Foster strong stakeholder relationships and support issue resolution

 

Skills & Experience

  • Qualification in project management or business administration (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in project support or business administration
  • Strong organisational, prioritisation and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems (ARM experience desirable)
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in health infrastructure projects is highly regarded
  • Personal attributes include adaptability, initiative, high work standards, and resilience
