Regional Family Violence Coordinator

About the role

An opportunity exists for a passionate and experienced professional to take on the role of Regional Family Violence Coordinator within the Grampians Region. This position will drive the implementation and integration of the Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM) across a partnership of regional health services. Reporting to the Executive Director of the Grampians Local Health Services Network (GLHSN) and working in close collaboration with the Manager Family Violence at Grampians Health, you will provide strategic leadership, expert guidance, and operational oversight to ensure the delivery of a sustainable and coordinated family violence response. You will support the following health service partners:

  • Beaufort and Skipton Health Service
  • Central Highlands Rural Health
  • East Grampians Health Service
  • East Wimmera Health Service
  • Maryborough District Health Service
  • Rural Northwest HealthWest Wimmera Health Service

 

This is a highly impactful role contributing to system-wide cultural change and improving safety and outcomes for those impacted by family violence across the region.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide the implementation of MARAM and associated Information Sharing Schemes across all GLHSN sites.

  • Embed a consistent, evidence-based family violence response framework across the partner health services.

  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in family violence practices.

  • Deliver training and capability-building initiatives to support ongoing professional development aligned with MARAM.

  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on implementation progress, identifying risks and enabling adaptive strategies.

  • Represent the initiative at regional and state-wide forums and contribute to strategic planning and policy development.

  • Apply project management methodology to ensure effective planning, delivery and sustainability of key initiatives.

 

 

Skills & Experience

  • Proven capability in delivering training and engaging diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong understanding of health and gender equity, intersectionality, and trauma-informed practice.
  • Highly developed communication, consultation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong project management and reporting capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple sites, both remotely and in person.
  • Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel across the region.
  • Experience leading complex projects or change initiatives, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and resilient in responding to changing priorities.
  • Committed to inclusive, person-centred approaches and continuous improvement.
