$57.7-$79.43 per hour
About the Role
This role provides specific assistance to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and to the Directorate of the CMO. This role is based in regional Victoria and will provide the opportunity to understand, support and shape the delivery of health services in rural and regional Victoria.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the CMO in strategic, operational and business planning
- Participate in relevant projects aligned with Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA) training program developed with the CMO
- Assist with drafting and dissemination of policy and other governance documents as requested
- Ensure that in the delegated areas of responsibility, patient safety and clinical governance requirements of the organisation are met
- Assist with the medico-legal work of the Directorate of the CMO
- Support the Directors of Training in junior medical officer and doctor-in-training matters and training requirements
Skills & Experience
- Medical degree and current AHPRA registration
- Working towards post graduate qualifications in medical leadership and management such as enrolled or seeking to enrol as a candidate working towards RACMA fellowship or enrolment in relevant postgraduate studies
- Substantial experience in clinical medicine
- Knowledge of medico-legal issues pertaining to health care service delivery
- Knowledge of junior medical officer and doctor-in-training matters and training requirements
- Knowledge of current clinical quality improvement, patient safety and risk management programs
- Knowledge of or experience in research and/or health service audit or evaluation
