Senior Finance Business Partner - Community & Aged Care

About the role

The Senior Finance Business Partner will provide commercial and financial advice/guidance to Senior Management in various programs within the Operations Directorate, including Aged Care, Allied Health, Mental Health and Clinical Support areas to help make informed financial decisions.  

 

In this role, you will undertake a variety of activities encompassing all Grampians Health campuses, including budgeting and forecasting, cost centre reporting, payroll analysis, financial modelling, analysis and bids, financial education & training and day to day financial functions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with key management staff to provide objective and accurate financial advice that influences financial outcomes and creates for financial improvements.
  • Produce and interpret accurate financial results and key performance indicators.
  • Monitor, analyse and report financial and activity performance against financial and non-financial targets.
  • Develop annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Understand the operational issues of the organisation and design and develop financial analysis tools that monitor and model the impact of operational activities and future strategies on financial performance; and
  • Develop financial modelling to support business plans and new initiatives.

 

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business and be CPA/CA qualified.
  • Experience in a business partnering or management accounting role.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to form collaborative business relationships.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and logical problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to undertake a range of complex tasks under limited guidance and ensure completion within strict timelines; and
  • The ability to operate effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships.
