Senior Pulmonary Function Technician

$54.55 - $60 per hour + salary packaging

 

About the Role

Join a dynamic Diagnostic Services team in a senior role with responsibility for shaping the future of pulmonary function testing across Ballarat and Horsham. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of clinical standards, lead TSANZ accreditation, and support innovation in respiratory diagnostics.

  • Lead lab readiness for TSANZ accreditation and maintain compliance
  • Perform and oversee advanced pulmonary function testing
  • Support clinical governance and staff capability across sites
  • Collaborate across disciplines within Diagnostics
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement and innovation
  • Optional involvement in ECG, Holter, EEG and pacing

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain pulmonary function lab accreditation and documentation
  • Perform accurate and high-quality respiratory function tests
  • Calibrate and maintain lab equipment
  • Liaise with internal and external clinicians
  • Supervise and mentor staff or students
  • Support infection control and safety compliance

 

Skills & Experience

  • Health Science degree in a relevant discipline
  • Certified Respiratory Function Scientist (or working towards)
  • Expertise in pulmonary testing and related diagnostics
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Sound clinical judgement and attention to detail
