$61.17 to $73.58 per hour + Salary Packaging Benefits
Fixed Term Full-Time (3 months) | 80 Hours Per Fortnight + Monthly ADO

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Team Leader to provide leadership and support to our Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (YMHWS). Based across multiple locations in the Grampians region, this position involves regional travel and close collaboration with Consultant Psychiatrists.

In this pivotal role, you will lead a multidisciplinary team – including staff with lived and living experience – to deliver safe, person-centred, and recovery-focused mental health care for young people and their families. You will bring strong clinical knowledge, leadership capability, and a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the YMHWS team to ensure clinical service delivery and KPI achievement

  • Support and guide staff performance through regular supervision, coaching, and annual performance reviews

  • Promote a positive and supportive team environment, encouraging professional development and growth

  • Actively manage incidents, risk, and feedback to drive service quality and improvement

  • Participate in clinical governance processes and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance regional mental health services

About You
You are an experienced mental health professional with demonstrated leadership capabilities and a commitment to youth-focused care. You are proactive, adaptable, and collaborative, with a deep understanding of the complexities involved in youth mental health service delivery.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Current registration with AHPRA (where applicable)

  • Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health, or:

    • A specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing Program or a specialist post-basic training course, or

    • A Degree or Masters in Social Work with AMHSW credential and AASW eligibility + minimum 10 years’ postgraduate experience, or

    • A Degree or Masters in Occupational Therapy with minimum 10 years’ postgraduate experience, or

    • Psychology Board of Australia specialist endorsement

Desirable

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Child and Adolescent Mental Health

  • Training or qualifications in leadership and/or management
