Permanent Part Time up to 16 hours per week | Commencing at $27.75 per hour
About the Role
Grampians Health Ballarat is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Ward Clerk to join our dynamic Operating Suite team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key frontline role, providing high-quality reception, clerical, and administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of a busy and vital department.
As the first point of contact for patients, families, and healthcare professionals, you will be a key contributor to a collaborative and patient-centred environment. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to support clinical teams will help promote seamless service delivery across the Operating Suite, the wider organisation, and with external providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff at the frontline reception
- Provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support to the Operating Suite
- Maintain accurate data entry in the patient management system and related platforms
- Support the coordination of daily workflow to ensure effective service delivery
Skills & Experience
- Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the confidence to escalate issues when required
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Opal and patient management systems is an advantage
- Prior experience in a medical administration or hospital setting is highly desirable
