Warehouse Supervisor - Ballarat

Permanent Full-time (80 hours per fortnight with monthly ADO)

HS3 | $37.68 to $41.65 per hour

 

About the Role

The Warehouse Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely supply of goods and services to Grampians Health, as well as its associated regional hospitals, health centres, and partner healthcare providers. This position is key to maintaining a seamless supply chain that supports the delivery of high-quality patient care across the region.

 

Key Responsibilities

Oversees the following functions under direction of the Manager Supply Services Grampians Health by

  • Liaise with the purchasing team to ensure timely procurement of stock and services, manage imprest systems, and follow up on discrepancies.

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, dispatching, and delivery of goods to departments, ensuring continuous supply of catalogued and non-catalogued items.

  • Manage Supply Officers' shifts, leave rosters, and timesheet approvals, ensuring adequate staffing and workflow continuity.

  • Conduct training on procurement systems and ensure compliance with operational procedures, including OH&S standards.

  • Monitor and replenish stock levels regularly to prevent shortages and ensure accurate documentation of stock movements.

  • Organize and coordinate deliveries across sites, address backorders or discrepancies, and maintain effective communication with department managers.

Skills & Experience

  • Proficient in computer systems with strong stock control and stocktaking knowledge.

  • Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Highly organized with strong time management and task prioritization abilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including advanced interpersonal and telephone skills.

  • Committed to delivering high-quality customer service.
