Wimmera Cancer Centre- Grampians Health Horsham is seeking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse (Division 1) to work with the Day Oncology/ Medical Day Unit team at Horsham. As the successful candidate, you will be a registered nurse with a passion for best practice evidenced based care and a thirst to learn.

 

What you’ll be doing

The role of the Registered Nurse is to provide systemic anti-cancer therapy and medical infusions e to patients in the Wimmera. You will also provide specialist nursing care, information, education and support to patients and families.

 

What we are looking for

  • AHPRA Nursing Registration Division 1
  • Day Oncology/ Medical Day unit Experience
  • Post graduate Cancer education
  • Demonstrated understanding of the physical, and psychological needs of patients.
  • Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills and the ability to provide, information and education effectively to patients, families, and carers.
  • Demonstrated effective organisational and time management skills and the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Registered Nurse Grade 2 (YP2 - YP9) which ranges from $41.36 - $52.20 per hour.
