Administration Assistant - Engineering

80 hours a fortnight + monthly ADO
$29.57 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Administration Officer to join our Engineering Services Department. As part of a small, supportive team, you will play a key role in managing work order processes — from the original request, through to ordering services and parts, coordinating trades and contractors, and reconciling invoices. This role is varied, requiring strong clerical, secretarial, and administrative skills, with opportunities to liaise across internal staff, contractors, and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities

Provide secretarial support including preparation of letters, memos, reports (including confidential matters), taking minutes, scheduling appointments, and filing.

Enter, update and maintain work requests in the computerised work recording system, ensuring accuracy of asset names and job details.

Print and issue work orders, collect completed work, and record job details into the system.

Coordinate and prioritise urgent repair work with tradespeople and contractors.
Key Selection Criteria

Demonstrated clerical and administrative experience.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across a wide range of stakeholders.

High level of initiative and problem-solving ability.
