Administration Officer

Fixed Term Full time position

 

The State-wide Equipment Program (SWEP) is funded by the Department of Health to provide subsidy funding to assist those Victorians who are frail aged, or who have a permanent or long-term disability to timely access to subsidy programs for the provision of aids, equipment and modifications to enhance/maintain their safety and independence, facilitate community participation and support families and carers in their role.

 

The Role 

The role will provide a high level of administration support to the service and will be responsible for undertaking and processing applications in line with relevant guidelines and program processes to ensure that the service achieves its aims.

 

Key duties include 

- processing funding requests

- checking eligibility of consumers

- liaising with consumers, Allied Health Practitioners and suppliers

- managing incoming phone queue and email drop box

 

Skills & Experience 

- competent in MS office suite and computer functions

-experience as an administration officer

- customer service skills

- empathetic to consumers and their needs

- a proactive and positive approach to work
