Administrative Officer / Engineering

40 hours per week with monthly ADO
$29.57-$33.78 per hour (HS1 – HS2)
About the Role
We’re seeking an Engineering Administrator to join our supportive Engineering and Facilities Department in Horsham. This is a unique opportunity that combines technical knowledge with strong organisational and process management skills. In this role, you will provide administrative, technical, and operational support to ensure the smooth coordination of maintenance, compliance, and project activities across our healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day to day running of the Engineering Office.
- Ensure all required records, data collection and storage are maintained accurately and assist with reporting as required.
- Review works requisitions ensuring they are approved in line with the established departmental guidelines and accurately enter all details into the Pulse ‘Work Order’ module.
- Assist with the coordination of planned maintenance activities.
- Assist with the financial system as needed.
- Facilitate effective communication between engineering, vendors, and hospital leadership.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an Administration role
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines as required
- Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and with flexibility in an environment of change
- Working knowledge of healthcare facility operations, maintenance standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
