The Admission Office currently has an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team. Our busy team processes planned admissions to Grampians Health Ballarat to ensure a seamless admission experience for patients. The role calls for applicants with a high degree of flexibility, attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Facilitate patient admissions and movements in the Patient Administration System (PAS) for planned admissions.
- Validate insurance claim types, complete required documentation, and maintain compliance with data standards.

Register new patients and maintain demographic data accuracy for existing patients
- Deliver professional, compassionate customer service to patients and families.
- Protect confidentiality and uphold privacy policies.

Work collaboratively with colleagues.

Ability to work across Admission shifts (7 days/week) and roles and flexibility to accept additional shifts.
- Proven customer service experience with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in handling sensitive information.
- Advanced computer proficiency, including fast and accurate data entry and experience using multiple applications.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- (Desirable) Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, or in a role involving patient administration or similar processes.
