Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant – Care Communities
$28.84–$33.27 per hour + salary packaging
Permanent Part-time or Full-time – Multiple Positions
About the Role
This senior role provides the opportunity to lead Allied Health Assistants across our care communities (residential aged care). You’ll contribute to safe, effective therapy delivery, coordinate day-to-day workflows, and support the development of junior staff while shaping ongoing service improvements.
- Lead and guide AHAs across care communities
- Deliver individual and group therapy programs
- Oversee supervision and delegation of AHP-directed tasks
- Maintain strong communication with the care team and partners
- Support service planning and quality improvement
- Mentor junior AHAs, students, and new staff
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership across the AHA team
- Supervise and delegate delegated AHP tasks
- Implement therapy programs and monitor outcomes
- Communicate updates and concerns promptly
- Participate in service development activities
- Support learning and orientation for junior staff
Skills & Experience
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
- Ability to implement therapy under AHP supervision
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to continuous improvement
