2 North specialises in Orthopaedic care, including Same day Joint Replacement, Trauma and Elective surgery. Our ward culture is highly positive and team focused, providing strong support for new staff. Available opportunities

  • ANUM Permanent Full time - 80hours + ADO
  • ANUM Permanent Part time  - 40hours (ND)
  • ANUM - Limited Tenure Part time - 56hours until 10//1/2027 (Inclusive)

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Will be employed to work in either the Acute Operations Directorate 
  • Is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal healthcare outcomes for people of all ages and cultural group
  • Practices independently and interdependently assuming accountability and responsibility for their own actions and the delegation of care to other healthcare workers as required
  • Develops professional practice in accordance with the health needs of the population and changing patterns of disease and illness
  • Completes all mandatory education and participates in organizational education and professional development
  • Works collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager and the team to support and enhance the core business of the designated clinical area

 

Skills and Experience

  • 5 years or greater recent acute experience in Orthopaedic/Surgical Nursing 
  • Current Registration with APHRA
  • Completion of all 3 -PCA/Epidural/Regional Infusion Competencies, with supporting documentation.
  • Ability for work 24/7 Roster including ND
  • Completed all Yearly Mandatory Competencies for your current Organisation including current Professional Development Review, with supporting documentation.
