About the Role
The Business Development Manager plays a critical role in supporting the development of strategies and actions that ensure GH achieves its activity targets and exceeds performance aspirations as outlined in the Clinical Services Plan.
The role is responsible for driving operational effectiveness and strategic planning. With a strong business acumen, the Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with clinical leaders, executive management, and other key stakeholders to align clinical operations and service delivery with the performance goals of the health service.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and analyse qualitative and quantitative data to assess clinical performance, service delivery, and activity across Grampians Health.
- Partner with senior operational and clinical leaders to provide objective, data-driven insights that influence performance outcomes and decision-making.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders to ensure operational strategies and models of care align with organisational performance, access, and growth objectives.
- Work with Clinical Costing and Finance teams to integrate cost, activity, and financial data into business cases, forecasting, performance monitoring, and resource allocation.
- Monitor, analyse, and report performance against the Clinical Services Plan and Department of Health KPIs to support executive oversight.
- Support continuous improvement, service redesign, and the development of advanced analytical tools to drive efficiency, sustainability, and improved clinical outcomes.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field
- Experience influencing management decisions through commercial / financial insights and / or operational analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels
- Ability to operate effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships.
