About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Victoria’s dedicated cancer service improvement network, working within the Victorian Integrated Cancer Services (VICS). As the Cancer Senior Data & Information Analyst, you’ll provide high‑quality analysis, insights and reporting that directly support service improvement, planning and performance across the cancer system.

This role suits an experienced health data specialist who enjoys translating complex datasets into clear insights for clinical, operational and executive audiences, and who values flexible working arrangements in a purpose‑driven environment.

 

What you’ll do

  • Analyse local and statewide health datasets to inform cancer service improvement
  • Transform complex data into clear insights for diverse stakeholders
  • Develop high‑quality reports and visualisations to support decision‑making
  • Support delivery of priorities aligned to the Victorian Cancer Action Plan
  • Work collaboratively across regional and statewide partners

 

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in health informatics, data or related field
  • Advanced SQL skills and strong database knowledge
  • Experience analysing health datasets and clinical data
  • Skill in data visualisation (e.g. Power BI, R or Python)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
