About the Role
We are seeking a casual pharmacist to join the Grampians Health Pharmacy Department at our Ballarat campus. This role suits pharmacists with experience in an Australian dispensary setting who enjoy fast-paced work and supporting a busy acute service. You’ll help ensure safe, timely medication supply, contribute to dispensary operations, and provide support across clinical, compounding or oncology services depending on experience.
Core Duties
• Provide safe, timely dispensing of inpatient, outpatient and discharge medications
• Support general operational pharmacy functions as required
• Contribute to continuity of care by communicating effectively with staff and external providers
• Maintain accurate documentation and meet Pharmacy Department standards
• Participate in weekend and on-call rosters once trained
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure smooth workflow and support efficient dispensary operations
• Assist with clinical or oncology pharmacy tasks depending on experience
• Uphold legal, professional and departmental standards in all activities
• Participate in orientation, mentoring and professional development when required
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement activities
Skills & Experience
• Registered pharmacist with AHPRA
• Experience in an Australian dispensary environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
• Accurate, efficient work practices and attention to detail
