We are inviting motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacists to apply for both Grade 1 and Grade 2 positions within our unit based clinical pharmacy team. Candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, and suitable applicants will be considered for either grade based on experience, capability and career stage.

 

About this role

This role involves the provision of high-quality, unit-based clinical pharmacy services, with opportunities to undertake credentialing for Partnered Pharmacist Medication Charting (PPMC) and other advanced scope of practice programs. You will also have the opportunity to train in specialty clinical streams such as critical care and medical specialties.

 

Rotations to operational services including dispensing, compounding, and placements within the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC)—may occur as part of your development. Professional growth is supported through regular in-service education, including journal club, support for seminar and conference attendance, team-based clinical pharmacy structures, and formal education opportunities such as SHPA residency programs.

 

Key responsibilities

• Provision of comprehensive clinical pharmacy services (assessment, intervention, advocacy and consultation)
• Promoting and supporting effective patient flow
• Mentoring and clinical supervision of learners at all levels, including pharmacy students, interns, residents and other Grampians Health staff
• Active contribution to Pharmacy and multidisciplinary team education programs and meetings

 

Skills and experience

• Currently hold, or be eligible for, general registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA
• Prior clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital environment is preferred
