About the Role

The Digital Skills and Capability Lead designs, delivers and continuously improves practical digital training programs across Grampians Health, helping staff at all levels build the skills they need to support safe, efficient and modern healthcare. Working with internal stakeholders and external partners, you’ll embed digital capability into workforce development and knowledge management and, where appropriate, share resources with the Grampians Regional Health Alliance (GRHA) to support consistent regional capability uplift.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of digital skills and capability programs across Grampians Health.
  • Develop and deliver practical, role‑based training for platforms such as Microsoft 365, Unified Communications, Cisco Academy, and enterprise systems, tailored to clinical, corporate, and operational teams.
  • Embed digital capability uplift into workforce development, technology rollouts, and business change initiatives.
  • Coordinate access to professional certification pathways and structured learning programs for staff.  
  • Lead digital knowledge management practices, including driving adoption of central knowledge platforms and continuous improvement of learning resources.
  • Represent IT Services internally and externally, advocating for digital capability as a foundation for safe, connected, high‑quality healthcare.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in education, information technology, organisational development, health informatics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience leading the design and delivery of large‑scale digital capability or IT training programs in complex, multi‑site organisations.  
  • Demonstrated experience delivering digital and technical training, including Microsoft 365, Unified Communications, and enterprise systems, to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, inclusive training design, and learner‑centred approaches.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical learning outcomes.
  • Experience in healthcare or the public sector, with an understanding of clinical and operational environments, is highly desirable.
