About the Role

Geriatric Evaluation and Management ward is looking for an Registered Nurse who has exceptional clinical skills, a commitment to patient-centred care and is enthusiastic to work in a fast-paced environment. Geriatric Evaluation Management (GEM) ward is located at the Queen Elizabeth Centre (QEC) with 24 beds. The GEM service model led by a dynamic team of highly skilled clinicians from medical, nursing and allied health disciplines provide specialist assessment, continuing care and comprehensive management of chronic or complex care needs associated with ageing, cognitive problems, chronic illness and/or disability. The team works together to improve the functional independence of patients and support discharge planning to maximise patients’ health outcomes and quality of life.

 

Key Responsibilities

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will be expected to facilitate and foster best practise and service delivery to our patients and their families. As part of a team that values excellence in healthcare you will work to maximises care, compassion, individual choice and quality outcomes for all clients and patients. This position requires the successful applicant to be available across a 7 day roster and ability to work am, pm and night shifts as required.

 

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Enrolled Nurse Grade 2 (IB68 - IB72) which ranges from $37.03 - $39.40 per hour.
