Fractional Specialist - Rehabilitation Consultant, Medicine and Continuing Care
Fixed Term Part Time commencing March 2026 to Jan 2027 | 15.2 hours per week (0.4 EFT averaged)

 

About the Role

Join Grampians Health as a Rehabilitation Consultant within a large regional tertiary referral service. This role offers clinical autonomy, participation in ward and on-call rosters, and contribution to teaching and professional development across a growing health network. Work within a collaborative subacute team while shaping rehabilitation services across the region.

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient rehab care

  • Participate in ward, on-call and weekend roster

  • Support junior medical staff education

  • Contribute to service improvement and governance

  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialist rehab assessment and care

  • Lead goal set and care plan

  • Support safe discharge and community transition

  • Provide clinical advice across campuses

  • Participate in audit and quality activities

  • Report to Clinical Director, Medical Services

 

Skills & Experience

  • AHPRA registration as specialist physician

  • FRACP or equivalent qualification

  • SAC certification in Rehab Medicine

  • Scope of practice within credentialing

  • Commitment to teaching and team care
