About the Role
Grampians Health is seeking an enthusiastic Social Worker to join the Ballarat Centre Against Sexual Assault as an Intake Counsellor/Advocate. This role provides a seamless entry point into CASA services for people who have experienced sexual assault and their family members across the Central Highlands region.

 

Working within a trauma-informed, evidence-based framework, you will deliver intake, assessment, advocacy, safety planning and brief intervention counselling as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. Participation in the CASA after-hours roster may be required.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide intake, assessment and brief intervention counselling
• Deliver advocacy, safety planning and client support
• Participate in referral triage and intake handover processes
• Coordinate referrals and continuity of care
• Participate in business-hours and after-hours crisis response
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting

 

Skills & Experience

• Degree in Social Work with AASW eligibility
• Experience in intake, counselling or case management
• Knowledge of sexual assault and trauma-informed practice
• Understanding of MARAM and Child Safety Standards
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
