About the role
This role plays an essential part in developing the capability and clinical confidence of emerging midwives. You will work alongside educators and clinicians to support learners in a variety of settings, ensuring they receive high‑quality instruction, timely feedback and meaningful learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical support and instruction to learners in clinical areas, induction programs and study days.
- Support learners to gain appropriate experience and develop skills in midwifery practice.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback aligned to learning objectives.
- Facilitate the achievement of individual and program‑based learning goals.
- Act as a professional, positive role model at all times.
- Work collaboratively with Clinical Midwifery Educators and program leads.
- Continuously promote and demonstrate evidence‑based midwifery practice.
- Participate in the activities of the Nursing & Midwifery Education Unit.
Skills & Experience
- Current AHPRA registration (without conditions) as a Registered Midwife.Minimum 3 years midwifery experience.Recent clinical experience.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or willingness to work towards).
- Experience supporting learners at varying levels.
- Completion of GH Clinical Supervision & Support modules (highly regarded).
