McGrath Cancer Care Nurse - Haemotology
Fixed Term Full Time including a monthly ADO (or shared role arrangement considered) | 12 months until June 2027

About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse – Haematology to provide expert, person-centred care across the blood cancer care continuum. This role supports patients and their families from diagnosis through treatment and ongoing care, delivering clinical expertise, coordination, education, and psychosocial support.

 

Working across multiple campuses, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and the broader cancer care network to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes. The role also contributes to the development of clinical practice in line with the McGrath Model of Care, supporting service improvement, strengthening referral pathways, and promoting best practice across the organisation and region.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Assess needs and plan complex care
• Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams
• Provide education to patients, carers and staff
• Lead and support evidence-based practice
• Develop and review clinical guidelines
• Contribute to service planning and improvement

 

Skills & Experience

• Postgrad qualification in cancer nursing
• AHPRA Registered Nurse Division 1
• Advanced haematology/oncology care skills
• Strong communication and education skills
• Ability to lead and work across teams
