About the Role
Grampians Health is offering an exciting opportunity for Grade 1 Occupational Therapists to join our vibrant and supportive Ballarat team. You will build your career within a large, progressive health service while rotating across Acute, Subacute, Community and specialty areas. Working alongside senior clinicians and a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will deliver person‑centred care and develop strong clinical foundations.
We prioritise your growth with regular 1:1 supervision and a structured tutorial program designed to build confidence and capability. This role is ideal for emerging Occupational Therapists seeking a dynamic, learning‑focused environment where your development truly matters.
New graduates, applying are encouraged to review the Department of Health Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy Grant program, in which grants totalling $15,000 are available for final year students in speech pathology or occupational therapy who choose to practice in regional or rural Victoria upon completion of their courses. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver service in accordance with the clinical program model or care and requirements
- Participate in group programs and delivery of presentations to community groups as directed by the Deputy Manager Occupational Therapy
- Demonstrate knowledge of GH strategic plan and understanding of factors that affect health systems in regional and rural Victoria
- Comply with AHPRA, OH&S legislation and GH Policies and procedures
- Actively engage in and provide professional development and model a commitment to lifelong learning
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor or tertiary equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- Registered as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Current driver’s licence
- Knowledge of assessment, treatment and management options for acute, rehabilitation and community patients with various diagnosis, and a commitment to quality care and evidence-based practice
- Ability to work independently and appropriately identify when to seek help
