Fixed Term Part Time | 0.8 EFT (68.4 Hours per fortnight)
VG3 - VG6 | $52.7 to $60.21 per hour
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to take on a senior clinical and leadership position within the GH at Home program at Grampians Health. The successful applicant will work within GH at Home, providing clinical leadership and supervision and managing a varied and challenging clinical caseload. At Home Programs provide care in the home that would otherwise need to be delivered within a hospital setting, supporting transition and discharge home.
With a minimum of 7 years post graduate clinical experience, the successful applicant will have recognised expertise in the assessment and treatment of clients with complex care needs living in the community. They will provide clinical support and consultation to the Occupational Therapists working in the program, and provide leadership support across the Allied Health teams working within GH at Home. This may include supporting the growth and development of Allied Health staff and establishing initiatives that promote best practice.
The successful applicant will have advanced skills in providing supervision and mentoring to both novice and experienced occupational therapists, and demonstrated leadership capability and experience. Effective communication and the ability to foster team work and engage key stakeholders is essential. Proven research capability or management of quality improvement activities is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced assessment, treatment and care planning for complex clients • Supervise and mentor Grade 1 and 2 staff in the GH at Home team
- Lead or support service development, quality improvement and evidence based practice
- Support operational duties such as caseload allocation, data review and rostering
- Act as a delegate for the OT Manager as required and lead internal communicationsBuild strong partnerships across services to support continuity of care
Skills & Experience
- Registered Occupational Therapist with AHPRA • Minimum seven years of relevant clinical experience
- Strong knowledge in managing complex needs in a community setting
- Proven experience supervising and mentoring allied health staff
- Current Victorian driver’s licence
Desirable
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant area or working toward one
- Experience leading quality improvement or research projects
