Permanent Part Time 32 hours per week | Commencement as soon as possible, with flexibility for notice periods!
About the Role
A new and exciting opportunity is available for a Child Life Therapist at the Grampians Early Parenting Centre (GEPC), Lucas. This role supports infants, children and families during periods of vulnerability through safe, evidence-based, child-centred care. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Child Life Therapist contributes across all GEPC parenting programs including day stay, home stay and outreach services.
The role focuses on education, therapeutic play and family support, guided by the Senior Child Life Therapist and senior leadership team, and aligned with the EPC model of care.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver care aligned to the EPC model of care
• Support parents to achieve individual parenting goals
• Plan and deliver group and individual child activities
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Promote child development, wellbeing and connection
• Engage with community and external organisations
Skills & Experience
• Bachelor qualification recognised by the Association of Child Life Therapists Australia
• Ability to deliver evidence-based education to families
• Ability to deliver education to health professionals
• Ability to work flexible and rotating rosters
• Practice within professional scope and organisational values
