About the Role

Grampians Health is seeking an experience Plumber to join our Engineering Services team. This role supports the Breakdown Supervisor in delivering reliable, high‑quality and cost‑effective maintenance services across our sites. You will work within a large healthcare facility, undertaking the maintenance and repair of a broad range of plumbing services across the organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Water supply systems, including hot and cold-water tanks, pipes, taps, filters, valves, and sterilization procedures.
  • Roofing materials and structures, including iron, tile, copper, flashings, spouting, and downpipes.
  • Drainage systems for stormwater and sewerage, utilizing brass, iron, plastic, and earthenware components.
  • Sewerage systems, including flusher tanks, pipework, valves, cisterns, pans, and urinals.
  • Mechanical services involving radiators, heating water pipework, heat exchangers, and valves.
  • Equipment maintenance for pan sanitizers, boiling water units, gas appliances, fluid coolers, and cooling towers; participation in morning, afternoon, and on-call rosters.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Trade-qualified plumber with experience in a commercial setting.
  • Skilled in maintaining plumbing services within large buildings.
  • Proficient in fault finding, maintenance of engineering equipment, and implementing preventative maintenance routines.
  • Valid driver’s license and familiarity with OHS systems and safe work practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of clear communication at various levels.
  • Demonstrates high initiative and flexibility in adapting to changing work commitments.
