Grampians Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Lead – Theatre Utilisation to join our Patient Support Unit (PSU). This is an exciting opportunity to lead a major project aimed at improving surgical theatre performance across one of regional Victoria’s largest and most dynamic health services.

About the Role
As the Project Lead – Theatre Utilisation, you will drive the full lifecycle of the Theatre Utilisation Project within the PSU. Your work will focus on:
- Conducting comprehensive analysis of current theatre utilisation and identifying key opportunities for improvement.
- Developing performance dashboards, benchmarking reports and optimisation strategies to improve operating theatre efficiency.
- Leading change management activities to ensure sustainable improvements across surgical services.
- Engaging stakeholders, maintaining strong communication channels, and ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
This role plays a critical part in supporting the three strategic priorities of the PSU: patient preparation & waitlist auditing, pathway redesign, and planned surgery blueprint reforms.
About You
You will be a detail‑oriented, proactive professional who can confidently work across clinical and operational environments.
You will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in surgical nursing, or extensive experience in surgical settings.
- Strong understanding of surgical scheduling, theatre workflows and hospital operations.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, project work, and data analysis/reporting.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving abilities.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, influence others, remain calm under pressure and drive meaningful change.
