2 North specialises in Orthopaedic care, including Same day Joint Replacement, Trauma and Elective surgery. Our ward culture is highly positive and team focused, providing strong support for new staff. Experienced senior clinicians are on hand to guide you through your transition. We excel at managing multiday admissions and we are actively involve family and next of kin in care to achieve the best outcomes.

We also support both undergraduate and those in the Graduate program.
As a 24-hour unit, we offer a flexible roster to help balance personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities
- Will be employed to work in either the Acute Operations Directorate
- Is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal healthcare outcomes for people of all ages and cultural group
- Practices independently and interdependently assuming accountability and responsibility for their own actions and the delegation of care to other healthcare workers as required
- Develops professional practice in accordance with the health needs of the population and changing patterns of disease and illness
- Completes all mandatory education and participates in organizational education and professional development
- Works collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager and the team to support and enhance the core business of the designated clinical area
Skills and Experience
- Recent acute experience in Orthopaedic/Surgical Nursing
- Current registration with AHPRA
- PCA/Epidural/Regional Competency
- Ability for work 24/7 Roster including ND
- Completed Mandatory Competencies including PDR

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Registered Nurse Grade 2 (YP2 - YP9) which ranges from $42.60 - $54.40 per hour.
