Registered Nurse Grade 2 – Inpatient Rehabilitation Program
Permanent part time availability up to .84 EFT (64 hours a fortnight)
About the role
The Inpatient Rehab (IRP) Unit provides assessment and rehabilitation for patients within a 30-bed facility. This position is working within a multi-disciplinary team of medical nursing and allied health.
In this role you would be dealing with a variety of patients recovering from a stroke, orthopaedic surgery and other health conditions were function has declined requiring rehabilitation to assist with regaining function and discharge planning to the next appropriate location of care.
The staff in Inpatient Rehab work closely in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary health care team to provide the best practice standards of patient care and service delivery that meets the needs and preference of out patients, families and carers.
As a member of staff you will be supported and empowers to deliver inpatient services, ensuring education, training and clinical competence meets the requirements of the clinical specialities across the inpatient services and must have the availability to work across all shifts including morning, afternoons, evenings and nights over a 7-day week by roster.
30-bed specialist unit providing multidisciplinary services and care across the Grampians and surrounding regions. We are located in Eyre Street Ballarat as part of the Queen Elizabeth Centre.

Skills and experience
- Be Eligible for registration as an Registered Nurse Division 1 with the Australian Health Practitioner regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold a current practicing certificate
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge skills commensurate with experience
- Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development
- Demonstrated knowledge of and involvement in evidence based practice and research activities
Desirable
- Recent clinical experience in relevant speciality
- Post registration qualification in relevant area of speciality or working towards same
This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classifications Registered Nurse Grade 2 (RN/M1-RN/M8) which ranges from $41.36- 52.82 per hour.
