About the role

Our recruitment is conducted in partnership with the Western Victorian Regional General Medicine Advanced Training Program – combinations of six-month rotations in Geelong, Ballarat, Warrnambool and Hamilton can be facilitated. All positions have been structured to accommodate a more senior Advanced Physician Training experience and needs as appropriate - there is a deal of flexibility with the roles that can be tailored to the Advanced Physician Trainee’s needs.

 

Ballarat rotations:

Core GenMed:

  • Senior Medical Registrar Med C / Endocrinology

Core GenMed-related:

  • Chief Medical Registrar Med D

Core Subspecialty:

  • Cardiology (Acute), Gastroenterology, Infectious Diseases, Neurology, Haematology, ICU (Acute)

 

Geelong rotations:

Core GenMed:

  • Senior Medical Registrar x2
  • Senior Medical Registrar x1 (Acute)

Core GenMed-related:

  • Senior Medical Registrar x2
  • Senior Medical Registrar St John of God Hospital Geelong
  • Connected Care/Early Access Registrar

Core Subspecialty:

  • ICU (Acute), Cardiology (Acute), Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Geriatrics, Palliative Care

 

Hamilton rotation

Core GenMed:

  • Senior Medical Registrar

 

Warrnambool rotations:

Core GenMed:

 

  • Senior Medical Registrar (Warrnambool Base Hospital
  • Senior Medical Registrar (St John of God Hospital Warrnambool)

 

Core GenMed-related:

  • Consults Registrar (Warrnambool Base Hospital)

We provide regular education, including protected teaching time for our Advanced Trainees.

 

We have an attached clinical school with students from Deakin University at Ballarat, Geelong and Warrnambool as well as University of Melbourne students at Ballarat.
