About the Role

The Grampians Public Health Unit (GPHU) is seeking an experienced Senior Administration Officer to provide high-level administrative and operational support in a fast‑paced public health environment. Working closely with the Director, Operations Manager and broader GPHU team, this role plays a key part in streamlining systems and supporting effective public health operations across the region. The position involves significant engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including the Victorian Department of Health, and requires strong judgement and initiative.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administration support to multiple areas of the GPHU.
  • Develop, design, coordinate and manage a document management system for the Grampians Public Health Unit.
  • Liaise with senior staff across the region to obtain and present information.
  • Deliver high‑level technical support for the creation of documents, spreadsheets and presentations, and producing and refining executive‑level materials for the GPHU team.
  • Manage databases (MS Teams, network drive, registers).
  • Participate in relevant committees, attend relevant meetings, and prepare and submit reports as required.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior leadership teams.
  • Proficient in the use of broad established administrative processes in a health service.
  • Advanced technical skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio).
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and show sound judgement in a diverse and continuously evolving environment where needed.
  • Proven ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities.
